Private Citizen - Concealed Carry Defensive Firearms

The OODA DEV Concealed Carry Firearms Training focuses on the actual shooting aspect of concealed carrying and is designed for lawful private citizens, law enforcement and military professionals seeking structured, real-world defensive training. Drawing from years of experience in covert and plain clothes law enforcement and counter-terrorism operations both domestically and internationally, our course establishes the mindset, judgment, and practical skills required to responsibly carry and deploy a handgun under real-world conditions.

Students are provided guidance in concealed carry principles and recommended equipment selection. Instruction emphasizes efficient draw stroke, weapon manipulations, marksmanship fundamentals, positional shooting, movement, threat assessment and identification,  proximity to evolving threats and multi-target engagement. 

Instruction also covers use-of-force consideration (including agency specific policy and procedures for sworn personnel), post engagement actions, enabling participants to think critically and articulate defensible actions before, during, and after a defensive encounter.

This course provides training and understanding many carriers never receive—an OODA DEVeloped mindset, fundamentals of shooting, proper draw stroke mechanics from concealed carry and concealed carry best practices.
