Concealed Carry Weapon Proficiency and Fundamental Skills

This course is designed specifically for sworn law enforcement professionals who carry a firearm off-duty, in plainclothes assignments, or during undercover operations, where the environment, legal scrutiny, and tactical considerations differ significantly from uniformed patrol.

Built on real-world experience in covert operations, plainclothes enforcement, and counter-terrorism environments, this program develops the officer’s ability to discreetly carry, rapidly deploy, and lawfully articulate the use of forcein dynamic, high-risk encounters.

Instruction integrates classroom-based decision-making with scenario-driven application, emphasizing the realities officers face when operating without the visibility, equipment, or immediate support typically available in a uniformed capacity.

Officers will develop proficiency in concealed handgun deployment, threat identification, and engagement under compressed timeframes, while balancing personal safety, protection of innocent life, and strict adherence to department policy and legal standards.

Training addresses the critical gap many officers face—the transition from overt authority to low-visibility environments, where hesitation, misidentification, or poor articulation can have immediate tactical and long-term legal consequences.

Core instruction includes individual close-quarters engagement principles, priorities of life and threat, use-of-force decision-making within agency policy, concealed carry methods, and efficient handgun manipulation under stress.Officers will apply Shoot–Move–Communicate principles within scenarios that reflect real-world encounters, followed by emphasis on post-engagement responsibilities and articulation.

This course is not about simply carrying concealed—it is about developing the ability to make sound decisions, act decisively, and clearly justify those actions in environments where you may be alone, out of uniform, and immediately accountable for every decision.

Officers will leave with improved ability to think critically, manage ambiguity, and operate with confidence and control before, during, and after a lethal-force encounter.

Carrying a firearm off-duty or in a plainclothes capacity without this level of preparation introduces unnecessary risk—tactically, legally, and professionally.

Enrollment is limited to sworn personnel. Train to a standard that reflects the responsibility you carry—on duty and off.
