The Valkyrie Tactical Rifle I Course is the progression from our DefendHer Tactical Rifle Familiarization course. This course is designed to help women develop some of those same Valkyrie qualities through disciplined rifle training in a professional, respectful, and ego-free environment tailored specifically for women.

This course establishes the non-negotiable foundation every responsible shooter and rifle owner must build before stress, uncertainty, and real-world consequences enter the equation.

For many women, learning to run a defensive rifle can feel intimidating or unfamiliar. This course removes those barriers by providing structured instruction, clear explanations, and patient coaching so students understand not only how to operate the rifle—but why each action matters.

Valkyrie Tactical Rifle I builds directly on basic rifle familiarization and transitions students into the disciplined development of reliable rifle handling and repeatable shooting performance.

Important Course Information

After registration, an OODA DEV firearms instructor will contact you approximately two weeks prior to the course with detailed pre-course instructions and the exact training location.

Course dates may adjust based on law enforcement operational commitments.

Minimum Equipment Requirements

• Reliable defensive carbine rifle
• Sling suitable for rifle retention and support (2-point highly recommended, single-point optional)
• 3 magazines and 1 magazine carrier
• 600–700 rounds of ammunition
• Eye and ear protection
• Permanent marker
• Weather-appropriate range clothing
• Basic weapon cleaning and maintenance kit
